Future Technology Sampler

PC Mag has a great article called "ten technologies you've never heard of." Here's a summary of four of those technologies.

(1) Silicon brain could be used for artificial intelligence. European researchers have already created neuro-chips which fuse brain cells and microprocessors. Primary applications could be prosthetic devices or organic computers.

(2) Bacterial photography uses a GM (Genetically Modified) form of E coli bacteria to build a biosensor that responds to light. The result is monochromatic images of 100 megapixels per square inch - incredibly high-resolution. A combination of sensors could even be created to find tumors and deliver a drug.

(3) Tritium batteries last for years and are based on the decay of the hydrogen isotope tritium, which has a half-life of 12.3 years. That means such a battery could keep functioning for decades.

(4) Viral fashion consists of fashion accessories that can change patterns. New patterns will be available and shareable wirelessly. Get a head start on the technology now, and the be the Gucci of tomorrow.
